How is the day at Colours?

Our schedule is designed to help students reach their full potential academically, emotionally, and socially. It begins with a Subject Enrichment Assembly, a fun and exciting way to learn about various subjects, from science and math to English, music, and even marching! We have a good balance of academic classes and extracurricular activities, with short breaks in between and a longer lunch break to give us time to relax and refuel. Our holistic curriculum is designed for 360-degree growth and development of our students academically, physically, and emotionally.

Which languages do we offer?

At our school, we are committed to providing students with the opportunity to develop their language skills to the fullest. Our language programs are designed to be engaging and challenging, and we offer a variety of courses to meet the needs of all learners. We offer English as first language. In addition to this, our curriculum includes CBSE Hindi, Basic Marathi (compulsory as per government norms) and German Level 1. We also prepare our learners for the German Level 1 – A1 exams in grade 8. We believe that learning multiple languages is an essential part of being a global citizen.

Which books do we follow?

We use textbooks and other educational materials carefully researched and endorsed by world-renowned institutions such as Cambridge and CBSE. For grades K-6, we follow the CBSE curriculum, which is a comprehensive and well-respected curriculum that is used by schools all over India. For grades 7-12, we follow the NCERT curriculum, which is another highly regarded curriculum that the National Council of Educational Research and Training develops. We are committed to using textbooks and other resources aligned with our curriculum goals, and that will help our students achieve their full potential.

Learner - Facilitator Ratio

C -The learner-facilitator ratio in each class is 32:1.

CBSE -The learner-educator ratio in each class is 40:1.

Is a transport facility provided?

We offer transportation services for learners who have selected this option. The fees for the same are directly payable to the transport facilitator; the school is not involved in it.

Is food provided?

We offer food services for learners who have selected this option. The fees for the same are directly payable to the facilitator; the school is not involved in it.

How does the school ensure a safe learning environment for all learners?

We ensure the safety of our children by having a good number of staff available at the premises each day, including the higher authorities, curricular and co-curricular facilitators, support staff, and security guards.
For younger grades, the campus is facilitated by full-time support staff in the class with the learners. For the co-curricular classes, the facilitators come to escort the class and take them to the respective area.

Do you follow any Policies for the safety and well-being of mind?

We have a Zero Tolerance Policy for bullying. Red /yellow cards are given to the children who harm any other child, who must stay home for a day or two. Or they are restricted from using the school bus facility for a few days. Before we end the day, a prayer is sung to take a pause and calm our minds. Children then make lines and go to their respective buses.

We have 30 academic facilitators, 17 co-curricular facilitators and 1 nurse.

We have 47 staff members and 15 support staff for 550 learners for 2023-24.

What technology and resources are available to support innovative learning?

Extensive hands-on projects using Robotics, Programming, Digital Design, Virtual Reality, & Electronic Circuits. All models are integrated along with the curriculum.  We have nearly 150 Robotics & 90 Early Engineering Modules and the Arduino interface. The Oculus Virtual Reality (VR) tool kit will be used for Educational Project Simulation. We are well equipped with high-end sensor-based data-collecting lab equipment for Science experiments. The school campus in itself is an exploratory resource where children learn gardening, carpentry, basic electrical learning, etc.

What after-school activities or clubs are available to further explore innovation and creativity?

At our new campus, learners can engage in numerous other clubs like swimming, basketball, singing, dancing, music, skating, gymnastics, and many other sports clubs.

What kind of professional development opportunities are provided for teachers to stay updated on innovative teaching methods?

We have ongoing learning opportunities for our Educators, provided by Cambridge field experts and in-house support.
